For over 35 years, LaSalle Brokerage AG Zurich has supported commercial clients from Switzerland and across Europe in managing price risk through international futures exchanges — with a particular focus on the oil and agricultural markets.

As a traditional introducing broker, we strictly separate service from capital. We focus exclusively on the execution of client orders and do not offer any investment advice or asset management. At no point do we have access to client funds.

For the secure processing of transactions, we cooperate with reputable, well-capitalized U.S. brokerage firms that are fully regulated by the relevant exchanges. Client accounts are held directly with these clearing partners, providing maximum transparency and financial security.

Walter Schneider, Founder & CEO

Walter Schneider began his career in international grain trading and later spent several years as a futures broker for various U.S. investment banks — most recently as Head of Futures at Drexel Burnham Lambert in Switzerland.
In 1990, he founded LaSalle Brokerage AG, an introducing broker firm specializing in price risk management.

Michael Peyer

After many years in the Precious and Industrial Metals division at the former Swiss Bank Corporation — where he gained extensive experience in metals trading and servicing institutional clients — Michael Peyer joined LaSalle Brokerage in 1998.
Since then, he has been active in international commodity brokerage, with a particular focus on trading grains, oilseeds, crude oil, and energy products.

Steffen Schneider

From 2018 to June 2025, Steffen Schneider served as an Active Advisor at UBS AG within Wealth Management Switzerland, specializing in the coverage of Private Wealth clients, Ultra High Net Worth Individuals (UHNW), and Global Family Offices (GFO).
