These markets are strongly influenced by geopolitical and macroeconomic developments and are among the most liquid commodity markets worldwide. Price hedging is carried out via established futures exchanges in the United States and Europe.

Crude Oil is one of the most important energy commodities globally and forms the basis for a wide range of refined petroleum products. Price hedging is primarily conducted via two benchmark markets:

Exchanges & Trading Platforms:

        • NYMEX (CME Group) – WTI Crude Oil Futures, traded via CME Globex (New York, USA)
        • ICE Futures Europe – Brent Crude Oil Futures, traded on the ICE platform (London, United Kingdom)

Heating oil (in the United States) and gasoil (in Europe) are important middle distillates primarily used for heating, industrial applications, and transportation.

RBOB ist ein standardisierter Benzin-Futures-Kontrakt und dient in den USA als wichtiger Benchmark für Kraftstoffpreise.

Börse & Handelsplattform:

      • NYMEX (CME Group) – RBOB Gasoline Futures, gehandelt über CME Globex (New York, USA)

Er bildet den US-Grosshandelspreis für unverbleites Benzin ab und ist eng mit dem Raffinerie- und Rohölkomplex verbunden.
